Support Hope Rep
For 50 years, Hope Rep has been a leading creative force in West Michigan. However, ticket sales cover only 50% of our operating costs.
Our milestone 50th Season was a tremendous success. In addition to our long-standing tradition of providing excellent theatrical experiences to our community and educational opportunities for theatre lovers of all ages, we continue to expand our emphasis on access and inclusion.
Producing live theatre during the last two years, in particular, has been some of the most difficult work in the history of the world. Yet, in spite of these challenges, Hope Rep has staged some of the most entertaining, engaging and diverse work the company has ever done.
Hope Rep is a cultural beacon on the stage of not only West Michigan but now nationally. In Season 50, Hope Rep was celebrated with five Broadway World awards honoring the best regional productions in the country and fourteen Wilde Awards for the best professional theatre produced across Michigan. We bring in theater goers from throughout the United States as well as all of Michigan, and these theatre enthusiasts experience all the joy and beauty the amazing town of Holland has to offer.
Even after our massively successful $500 for 50 fundraising campaign last year, we still need your continued support. This support will allow Hope Rep to achieve even higher levels of artistic excellence, as well as continue to make our artists better compensated for all their gifts and talents they share with us.
It is our fervent hope you will join us in any way you can. Please consider the immediate benefits for today and those for future generations. The arts are an investment that pays continuous dividends well beyond the walls of the theatre itselfɫɦ and will shape our lives and the lives of future generations.
- Patrons for the Arts
-
Patrons for the Arts encourage and support the fine and performing arts by providing additional competitive grants that enable Hope College to expand the quality and quantity of artistic offerings to students and the Holland community throughout the academic year. Patrons for the Arts explicitly support the fine and performing arts, Hope Repertory Theatre and arts community outreach through annual gifts and contributions from the Patrons for the Arts Endowment fund. Patrons for the Arts subscribers are invited to engagements such as Hope Rep ɫɜBehind the Scenes,ɫɝ Musical Showcase and other special events.
Hope College was the first private, liberal arts college in the nation to have accreditation in four areas of the arts: music, art, dance and theater. Each year, one of the fine arts, in rotation, receives a larger grant to support an initiative that adds significant energy and value to the student and patronsɫə experience. .
