Students to Present Creative and Research Projects on April 11
Original research by Hope students on topics ranging from the foraging efficiency of sparrows, to the effect of high-tempo music on sprint swimming, to anti-immigrant violence in the United Kingdom, to Don Quixote and social media will be highlighted during the collegeɫəs annual A. Paul and Carol C. Schaap Celebration of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity on Friday, April 11, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Richard and Helen DeVos Fieldhouse.
Author-Filmmaker Curtis Chin to Present Asian Heritage Lecture April 8
Filmmaker Curtis Chin, author of ɫɜEverything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant: A Memoir,ɫɝ will present the 2025 Asian Heritage Lecture at Hope College on Tuesday, April 8, at 3:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.
Hope College Screening the Documentary Film ɫɜT-Rexɫɝ on March 26
The ɫ film ɫɜT-Rex,ɫɝ which is about Claressa "T-Rex" Shields from Flint, who at age 17 became the first woman in history to win the gold medal in the 2012 Olympic boxing, will be shown at Hope College on Wednesday, March 26, at 6:30 p.m. in the Knickerbocker Theatre.
Three Hope Student Teams Place in Final Round of ACG Cup Competition; One Team Finishes as Runner-Up
Competing against a record-breaking 37 teams, all three of Hope Collegeɫəs student teams who competed in the recent ACG Cup Competition, held on Saturday, Feb. 22, advanced to the final round. Team BCG from Hope College finished runner-up.
The Exodus 90 program was introduced on the Hope College campus in 2018 through the Saint Benedict Institute, a ministry of St. Francis de Sales Parish that serves Catholic students at Hope and encourages all Christians to live out their faith.

Hope College staff members were honored for service anniversaries during a reception on Tuesday, March 11, at the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts.

For a 26th consecutive year, hundreds of Hope College students are putting their time and talents into the campus-wide Dance Marathon fundraiser.
Saint Benedict Institute to Host Lecture on Artificial Intelligence and Theology
The Saint Benedict Institute will host Dr. Jordan Joseph Wales, who is a member of the philosophy and religion faculty at Hillsdale College, for a lecture titled ɫɜWhat We Are and What We Do: Keeping Our Personhood in the Age of AIɫɝ on Monday, March 10, at 7 p.m. at Hope College in Winants Auditorium in Graves Hall.

Althea Jones, a multidisciplinary artist based in Northeast Ohio, will present the address ɫɜSuperhero Mode: Taking Charge of Your Story and Successɫɝ as the 2025 Womenɫəs History Month Lecture at Hope College on Thursday, March 6, at 3:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Jack H. Two Students Receive Awards During Regional Model Arab League
Hope College students Christian Fakhoury and Veronica Booker each received awards during this yearɫəs regional collegiate Model Arab League program, held on Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 13-15, at Grand Valley State University.

Dr. Kevin McGruder, associate professor of history at Antioch College, will address the theme ɫɜWe Sure Do Need It Now: Developing a Plan to Counter the Attacks on Efforts to Achieve a More Equitable Societyɫɝ as the 2025 Black History Month Lecture at Hope College on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 3:30 p.m. in Schaap Auditorium of the Jim and Martie Bultman Student Center.
