Vande Poel-Heeringa Courts
The 12 courts of the Vande Poel-Heeringa Stadium Courts are available for competition, instruction and casual play. Thanks to a leadership gift from the Ted ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É™72 and Barb ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É™73 Etheridge family, construction was completed in 2012.
In 2013, the stadium won the Outdoor Tennis Court of the Year award, chosen by the American Sports Builders Association. It is home to the menÑÇÖÞÉ«°É™s and womenÑÇÖÞÉ«°É™s tennis teams and is located close to the DeWitt Tennis Center, the collegeÑÇÖÞÉ«°É™s indoor tennis facility. The courts also provide an officialsÑÇÖÞÉ«°É™ shelter and elevated seating for spectators.
The facility was named for Earl Vande Poel ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É™35 and George Heeringa ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É™36, a former Hope doubles tennis team.
